A chemical peel uses a professional-strength exfoliating solution to clear away dull, damaged surface skin, so fresher, smoother skin comes through. At Spoiled Aesthetics we offer three peels: Jessner, glycolic and salicylic. Each does a different job, and we match yours to your skin at a free consultation.
Treatments take about 30 minutes in our studio on West Flamingo near Durango. Most clients see the best results over 3 to 6 peels.
Salicylic acid dissolves oil, so it gets into pores in a way other acids don’t. It’s our go-to for breakouts, oily skin and large-looking pores.
Downtime: little to none, with light flaking possible.
Glycolic acid is the smallest alpha-hydroxy acid, which lets it smooth and brighten evenly. It’s a good first peel, and a good “glow” peel before an event.
Downtime: minimal, with mild redness for about a day.
A blend of salicylic acid, lactic acid and resorcinol, the Jessner goes a little deeper. Expect a few days of peeling, and noticeably clearer, more even tone after.
Downtime: several days of visible peeling.
We cleanse your skin, apply the peel and time it carefully. Most clients feel tingling or warmth for a few minutes. Depending on the peel, you might see nothing more than a little dryness, or a few days of light peeling.

Most clients do a series of 3 to 6 peels, a few weeks apart. Many then come back every month or two to maintain results.
Most skin types can have a peel. We’ll choose a gentler option if your skin is sensitive or darker, to avoid irritation and dark spots. We’ll hold off if you’ve recently used isotretinoin (Accutane), if you’re sunburned, or if you have an active skin infection. We’ll go over this at your consultation.
